Place Villerest is a community space in the heart of Storrington village, managed by Storrington & Sullington Parish Council and positioned at the junction of the High Street and Old Mill Drive. It’s a well-established spot for mobile traders — the Rotary Club’s popular Saturday bookstall has traded here for years, and the square is used for community events including the village Christmas lights switch-on. We’re proud to be setting up here on Wednesdays.
Storrington is a genuinely lovely village — first recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086 as Estorchestone (‘the village of the storks’), and still very much a living, working community. Nestled in the foothills of the South Downs, it’s the closest village to the midpoint of the South Downs Way and sits in a conservation area with an attractive independent high street. You’ll find Waitrose, a Tesco Express, a post office, two butchers, a Village Hub, independent coffee houses, and three pubs — all within easy walking distance of where we’re set up.
The surrounding countryside is spectacular. The South Downs National Park is on the doorstep, with RSPB Pulborough Brooks, Parham House and Gardens, and Amberley Heritage Museum all within a short drive. Whether you’re a local or you’ve come out for a South Downs walk, Place Villerest on a Wednesday evening is a good place to refuel.
We trade every Wednesday from 3 June 2026 — dates shown are upcoming sessions. Follow us on social for any changes or cancellations.
